Manuscript ID: The manuscript ID will be displayed in the column as like below:

Manuscript Title: This column in the grid will have the Title of the manuscript with hyperlink.
a. Display the Full length of the Manuscript Title in the grid with hyperlink.
b. When user click on Manuscript Title hyperlink, then display a PDF version of the Manuscript submission Page is displayed with all the data in the fields which is entered by the user, and with the documents data. Display of documents data is based on the Order selected for the Manuscript Documents and for which include in MS check box is checked (those files data will be displayed in the Manuscript PDF file). Refer Screen1 above
From Journal: Display the Name of the Journal from which the Manuscript is transferring.
To Journal: Display the Name of the Journal To which the Manuscript is transferring.
Transfer Requested Date: initially this date should be Admin click on Transfer button in Transfer Manuscript section in Admin Dashboard.
Actions:
1. In Admin Dashboard – from any Queue – Go to Transfer Manuscripts section. Admin selects the Journal name and click on Transfer button, then in
a. Author Dashboard:
i. Email will be triggered (EIC, AE and Author)
ii. For Old Journal— record will be moved to Manuscripts with Decisions section, with the Status as “Rejected” and with Comments as “Recommended Transferring the Manuscript to JVC1 (Journal Name)”.
iii. For New Journal
1. Record will be displayed in “Manuscripts Awaiting Approval to Transfer” section with Accept and Reject buttons.
2. If Author Accepted the Manuscript to transfer, then
a. Cursor should go to Author Dashboard.
b. Record will be cleared from “Manuscripts Awaiting Approval to Transfer” section and will be moved to “Unsubmitted and Manuscripts in Draft” section.
c. “Unsubmitted and Manuscripts in Draft” screen Manuscript will be saved as “Draft”.
d. Please see below which Data related to Manuscript should be pre populated and should not be pre populated from Old Journal.
Manuscript Tab:
1. Journal Name – should populate the New Journal Name
2. Manuscript Type – Should not pre populate – Author should select the manuscript Type.
3. Title -- Should pre populate
4. Abstract -- Should pre populate
5. Author and Co-Author – Should pre populate
6. Cover Letter Text or File -- Should pre populate
7. Co-Authors popup screen Data -- Should pre populate
Additional Details Tab:
8. Sage Peer Review (irrespective of Journals) -- Should pre populate with the selected answers of old journal
9. Journal Level -- Should not pre populate Question and Answers – Should be populate based on New Journal configuration.
10. Manuscript Type Level -- Should not pre populate Question and Answers -- Should be populate based on Manuscript Type selected in new journal.
Files Tab:
11. Display all files from old Journal to new Journal.
12. Check Mandatory File designations based on the Manuscript Type which is selected for new journal.
Keywords and Reviewers Tab:
13. Preferred Reviewers -- Should pre populate
14. Non Preferred Reviewers-- Should pre populate
15. Keywords selected -- Should pre populate
16. New Keywords -- Should pre populate
Note: Author can change any Data on this screen except Journal Name.
Note: For submission screen functionality please refer to “Submission of Manuscript”.
e. If Author enter all the Data in Submit Manuscript screen in ‘Unsubmitted and Manuscripts in Draft’ section and click on 'Submit MS' button. Then
1. Record should be moved to Submitted Manuscripts screen with Status as “Submitted” in New Journal.
3. If Author Rejected the Manuscript to transfer, then
a. Manuscript should be cleared from “Manuscripts Awaiting Approval to Transfer” section and will not be displayed anywhere for new Journal.
b. In Admin Dashboard:
i. For Old Journal— record will be moved to Make Final Decision with the Status as “Rejected” and with Comments as “Recommended Transferring the Manuscript to JVC1 (Journal Name)”.
ii. For New Journal
1. Record will be displayed in “Manuscripts Awaiting Author Approval to Transfer” section.
2. If Author Accepted the Manuscript transfer, then
1. Manuscript should be cleared from “Manuscripts Awaiting Author Approval to Transfer” section and will not be displayed anywhere for new Journal
3. If Author enter all the Data in Submit Manuscript screen in ‘Unsubmitted and Manuscripts in Draft’ section and click on Submit MS button. Then
a. Display this record in New Journal Admin Dashboard – Complete Checklist screen with “Awaiting Complete Checklist” Status.
b. On transferring manuscript from one Journal to another Journal we will be recreating the manuscript ID.
c. By default new Journal Admin and EIC should be assigned to this Manuscript.
d. Email should be triggered to respective people.
Note: In Admin Dashboard where ever this Manuscript is displaying all the screen display one Flag for this Manuscript (Other than common Flags). To tell that Manuscript has been transferred.
4. If Author Rejected the Manuscript to transfer, then
a. Manuscript should be cleared from “Manuscripts Awaiting Author Approval to Transfer” section and will not be displayed anywhere for new Journal.
Manuscript that are in Peer Review process should only be shown in Submitted Manuscript queue.
